In case you missed it in the tiny list of YouTube videos tagged "nintendo ds" over in the sidebar, there's a demo of Cooking Mama there, from Uprise TV provided by Gamebrink. (It's that cooking game from Taito, remember?)
The awesomest news lately for anyone else who cut their teeth on the SNES is that Mother 3, the sequel to Earthbound, is coming out in Japan on Thursday for the Game Boy Advance.
You can see screenshots and other goodies in advent calendar format from creator Shigesato Itoi, or in English at Starmen.net's translated mirror. Mother 3 already received a 35 out of 40 from Famitsu, the epic Japanese gaming mag. If you can read Japanese, feel free to order it from Play-Asia. (Unfortunately the Deluxe Edition with matching Game Boy Micro is already out of stock.) The rest of us will just have to wait, hopeful, for a US release.
And, of course, play Contact, which according to this preview in 1up.com's Rising Fun series, was misleadingly advertised with what people thought was a professor character from Mother 3. Contact is another RPG with a similar contemporary feel, so it should be plenty of fun too. It's still a wait, though: we get it over here in the States in July.
Meanwhile Lik-Sang has Crystal White DS Lites back in stock, if you were waiting for those.
