Voting is open at Nintendo.co.jp for songs to include in a "Band Brothers Additional Song Cartridge," as reported at IGN (via pokelinkster on the LJ group). Unfortunately, not only is the voting site in Japanese, it's not "pick for your favorite of these options" style voting but free-form voting, all in Japanese. However, you can read Google's machine translation here, and the form is stellarly translated (unlike Barbara's flavor text):
Unless the ま, how せ at all it is, because probably the ガメツイ just person who does not request, the わ preparing the present. Software of van brassiere with pulling out selection in 100 names present! Don't you think? that way because there is no art, something with the additional music entering.
The っ て which does not hit no matter what because of you you think, the わ which also the musical score and the wallpaper present with request applicant everyone service. You think gratefully, don't you think? is.
That seems to be saying they're giving away 100 copies of the expansion pack (though only to .jp addresses, I presume, as the address fields only ask for address and postal code), but everyone who votes gets an input-yourself musical score and a special desktop wallpaper. (I have several suggestions here--I'm gonna put in the Ted Leo + Pharmacists song, if you'd like to help.)
The cool thing (or not so cool thing, depending) about the expansion pack is it's really an expansion pack, as in you have to have the original game: the expansion is a GBA cart of new song data. (Or, if you prefer, "It is possible to add new music in the band brothers, it is the software of GBA cartridge form.") As had been pointed out here, here, and here, DS games can access a cartridge in the GBA slot. It's neat to see another reason to use it besides extra hardware though.
The price will be announced 22 August, so perhaps it'll show up at Lik-sang not too long after.
wow, you never know what you'll find by googling your own user name
