New news: Goemon DS, a Flash anti-tribute to PSP, and a Nintendogs blog

There's a new trailer video for Goemon DS. I remember Legend of the Mystical Ninja on the SNES quite fondly, so hopefully Goemon will not only keep some of that magic but also come out this side of the ocean. Looks like it incorporates touch features pretty well into adventure platform play, as well as preserving Legend's minigame heritage. (This news from the nintendo_ds LiveJournal group. Sometimes I figure I should just syndicate it here and be done with it.)

Also going around is this Flash movie, Sega Fantasy VI, which shows the end battle and cutscenes of Final Fantasy VI with the PSP starring in the role of Kefka (the bad guy). It is therefore verrrry lonnnng. Nearish the end there's a (literally) small part for the Nintendo DS, as well.

Meanwhile, if you're anxiously awaiting Nintendogs in the US, there's a whole Blogspot blog all about it: Puppy Times.

Nintendo is offering plush Nintendogs and more on their Japanese site.

In other strange product news, my disembodied "Touching is Good" hand shipped. Yay!

Wireless downloads from the PC

Gameshout reports that Tim Schuerewegen has figured out how to send Nintendo DS executables with RT2560 chipset wireless cards in Windows.

w00t!

Gameshout says there's a "long loading time," but in the video they link it's not toooo slow, and in this video you can see he's printing to console as it downloads. That'll slow anything.

Update 14 April: driver and program downloads are now available.

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney

IGN reports that the lawyer game Gyakuten Saiban is, in fact, coming to the US, where it will be called "Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney." Surprise to me!
